Met at the music club, CU Band, at Chulalongkorn Universty in Bangkok. The rock quartet was formed in 2007. When the time was right, OverMe released their first self-made EP album called "Sle(EP)ing" in November 2007 which consists of many musical influences form each member such as rock, funk, pop, soul. Finally, it has become rock music combined with funky feeling plus soulful voice and dubbling chorus lines. The EP contains 6 tracks with both Thai and English lyrics assortedly. Later on in the late 2007, the band has released "U Band Battle: Project I" compilation album altogether with other 7 local indie bands in Bangkok. In April 2008, OverMe was nominated for "The Best Newcomer" by the honorable Fat Radio, a famous indie radio station in Thailand.
At the end of the year 2008 saw OverMe playing live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with other local indie bands. The show did prove the limitless of music boundary eventually.
By April 2009, the band is chosen by Yamaha Music Corporation in Bangkok to be their official endorsee, as well as has signed a contract with Warner Music Thailand.
The first debut album, "Big Swing" contains 11 songs and 1 bonus track on sale in January 2010.
OverMe’s ‘Big Swing’ won the award for Best New Artist at the Season Awards in 2010.
As an independent group (since 2011), they have released 3 singles; Ko Rong (Please) in October 2012, Lak Lun Yon Yaeng (Paradox) in August 2013, and Wela (Time) in February 2014, available exclusively on iTunes and Deezer.
OverMe has been seasoned by years of live performances in Thailand’s biggest music festivals, such as Big Mountain Music Festival (February 2010, December 2010, and 2013) and Fat Festival (2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012), live venues, and parties around Bangkok. Their shows are often described as energetic and exhilarating with combined forces of the frontman’s engaging stage presence supported by a tight knit ensemble.
Their upcoming mini album ‘Doublethink 101’ is set to be released in April 2014.
